ENVICCO Joins AEPW Round Table to Accelerate Plastic Circularity in Thailand

BANGKOK, 16 June 2026 — ENVICCO, a company focused on sustainability and recycling solutions, joined the AEPW Round Table titled “Advancing Plastic Circularity in Thailand”, hosted in partnership with PPP Plastics. This high-level gathering brought together over 40 senior leaders from across the plastics value chain, government bodies, and financial institutions to address Thailand’s plastic waste challenge and drive progress toward a sustainable circular economy.

Mr. Natthanun Sirirak, Managing Director of ENVICCO, highlighted the scale of the challenge and agreed on the way forward:

“Thailand generates 26.95 million tons of municipal solid waste annually, with 58% still inadequately managed. Gaps in collection, sorting, and recovery infrastructure remain the top priority. True circularity depends not only on strong policy frameworks such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), but also on solutions that are economically viable and scalable. At ENVICCO, we are fully committed to supporting these efforts and bringing our operational experience to help turn plans into real impact.”

During the round table, participants reviewed two flagship infrastructure projects now moving into implementation:

  • Nong Kham (Bangkok): A new urban Material Recovery Facility (MRF) designed to process 12,000 tons per year of high-quality recyclable plastics.
  • Rayong: An upgrade of existing brownfield infrastructure targeting 22,000 tons per year, built to leverage existing systems and speed up delivery.

Both projects have successfully completed feasibility studies and pre-engineering assessments, with permits and supplier selection currently underway.

Looking ahead, attendees agreed to launch the AEPW Thailand Country Program in 2026. Building on AEPW’s global track record, which has mobilized over USD 1.3 billion across more than 80 projects worldwide, with country programs backed by more than USD 100 million in collective financing, the initiative aims to develop scalable, replicable, and investable circular models tailored to Thailand’s context.

“ENVICCO is proud to join this collective effort,” added Mr. Natthanun Sirirak, “By combining clear regulations, modern infrastructure, and market-driven solutions, we can effectively close the loop on plastics, reduce environmental impact, and create shared value for communities, businesses, and the nation.”
